An unknown black man in his 40s died Monday, April 2, in the 1500 block of West Florence Avenue in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said witnesses heard the victim get into an argument followed by three gunshots late Sunday evening.
Authorities were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at midnight.
Winter had no other information about the case.
